How does ROUTE MANAGER work?
bMobile ROUTE MANAGER® is a two-part software system used with desktop PCs and handheld computers. ROUTE MANAGER's desktop software integrates and shares data with your accounting software (QuickBooks, MAS90, SAP or others). That data is sent to the handheld PC software. ROUTE MANAGER collects new data from the field on the handheld PC and sends that new data back to the desktop.
How does the data get from the office network onto the handheld computer?
Data communication between the handheld and office network can be wireless or wired. Wired connections are made using a network cable or DSL line. A cradle can be used for the wired connection which would also allow recharging of the mobile device.
Wireless communication can be through your in-house wireless network, outside Wi-Fi access to the internet, or a cellular data connection. (Check with your cellular service provider about available data services.)
What accounting software integrates with bMobile ROUTE MANAGER?
ROUTE MANAGER can integrate with most WINDOWS® based accounting applications. QuickBooks®, SAP®, MAS 90®, DacEasy® and Cougar Mountain® are some examples. Contact bMobile about integration with your accounting system.
What data is sent to the handheld computer from the office?
When the handheld computer is synchronized with the office, the data transferred to the handheld includes: route stops with stop sequence, pre-sold orders for each stop, customer contact information, customer sales information, current and promotional prices, special pricing or discounts for specific customers and inventory information.
If I don't have a wireless connection to the office will bMobile still work?
Yes. ROUTE MANAGER has full function even without a live connection to your office. Once connection is re-established, data can be synchronized.
If I am transferring data from the mobile computer and lose the connection, will I lose the data?
No. All data is stored on the handheld until a complete and successful download is complete. Even if you lose power on your handheld your data is safe.
Does ROUTE MANAGER store all my inventory data on the handheld computer?
Yes. Product ID, Product Description, Price, Price Lists and Quantity are all stored and updated on the handheld computer. Optional inventory data, such as Product Cost, may also be included based on your needs. Contact bMobile for more information on this option.
Does ROUTE MANAGER create invoice numbers?
Yes. Invoice numbers are created in the field and transferred to your accounting system. The number series is unique to each mobile user for easy reference.
Can I add to a pre-sold order in the field?
Yes. You can add or remove items from a pre-sold order when viewed on the handheld computer. This allows the driver to make changes at the request of customer during a delivery.
Can I edit an invoice in ROUTE MANAGER after it's been saved?
Yes. An invoice created on the handheld computer can be re-opened and edited. The invoice is then saved with a new invoice number. This is management option which can be deactivated.
Does ROUTE MANAGER contain any sales analysis tools for management?
Yes. ROUTE MANAGER provides in depth, full color sales charts and sales reports to analyze sales using a variety of criteria.
Can I create my own reports with ROUTE MANAGER?
Yes. In addition to the dozens of easy to understand reports that are standard with ROUTE MANAGER, you will also have one the most popular, powerful and easy to use report writer tool available today.
Can I scan barcodes with ROUTE MANAGER?
Yes. ROUTE MANAGER is barcode fluent. When installed on a handheld computer equipped with a barcode scanner, ROUTE can quickly recall product information for review or entry onto an order.
Can I print invoices in the field?
Yes. ROUTE can create invoices and reports which can be printed on a mobile computer.
Can ROUTE MANAGER store customer signatures electronically?
Yes. The signatures can be printed on mobile invoices and permanently stored in the office data base.
Can I have my company logo on the mobile invoices?
Yes. ROUTE MANAGER can insert logos, taglines and your contact info at the top of each invoice.
What handheld computers can I use with ROUTE MANAGER?
ROUTE MANAGER is compatible with all handheld computers using Pocket PC 2003, Windows Mobile version 5 or 6. This includes devices from Motorola/Symbol, Intermec, Psion, Opticon and others.
What mobile printers can I use with ROUTE MANAGER?
ROUTE MANAGER is compatible with most popular mobile printers on the market today. This includes printers from Zebra, Intermec, O'Neil, Printek and others.

Can I view, edit and reprint mobile invoices on my desktop computer?
Yes.
Does ROUTE MANAGER optimize routes to save on fuel and labor costs?
Yes. ROUTE MANAGER uses multiple criteria to determine most cost efficient routes. Individual route costs can be tracked and compared to pre-optimization costs so may view your actual savings.
Is your technical support in-house or do you contract it to overseas firms?
All technical support services are performed by our trained and experienced support professionals. In addition, all software design and development is performed in our Idaho offices by our staff.
